Spherical carbide is produced by melting tungsten carbide and solidifying it in flight, which gives each pellet a dense, crack-free microstructure and a hardness above 3000 HV.
The round shape leaves no sharp corners to initiate cracks under impact, making it the preferred grain for drilling tools, dredge teeth and crusher liners.
